People’s Panel co-design workshop to shape customer engagement

In May 2023, Jemena Electricity Network's hosted a 2018-19 People’s Panel reunion and customer engagement co-design workshop as a part of the Electricity Distribution Price Reset Project.

In Craigieburn, over 23 People’s Panel members that shaped the Electricity Distribution Regulatory Proposal for 2021-26 regulatory period came together to reconnect, reflect and provide their input into customer engagement.

The People’s Panel played a pivotal role in shaping our electricity distribution regulatory proposal for the period of 2021-26, making key recommendations that led to several initiatives across our network.

Joined by over 23 panel members who are also customers in our electricity distribution network, we had an opportunity to share how we have progressed the recommendations they made in 2019.

People’s Panel members shared their reflections on the experience of being a member, many expressing how valuable the process was in building their energy literacy and to represent the customers in their local communities.

This included their feedback on making the next People’s Panel a success and how we can engage more deeply with customers across our electricity distribution network through dedicated customer voice groups.

Shaun Reardon, the Executive General Manager of Jemena Networks, emphasised the significance of reconnecting with the group and seeking their feedback on our proposed engagement program.

For Jemena, the Price Reset is an opportunity to confirm customer product and service expectations and secure revenue to support efficient investment and operations to deliver these expectations.
