Looks like the website for going through the recommendations has some issues, the pages will sometimes reload/reset and go back to the top and you'll lose what you were working on.

Suggest everyone uses a word doc or notepad to type the comments then copy and paste it into the box and save.

just finished going through all questions and providing comments over a few days using the same session ID (same tab with same device) and before submitting could see that all my comments were there, but after submitting and going to view results it looks like none of my comments have been populated, I can also see that a lot of comments are N/A, or appears there are some serious issues with the website.

Came across this interesting article regarding Solar Thermal energy plant in the United Arab Emirates. Whilst there are many technical challenges in developing such a plant in Australia, it does demonstrate future possibilities..

This is a great read, Anne. Thanks for sharing. The Noor project is an excellent example of utilising solar thermal energy coupled with industrial salt for energy storage and release. The article's discussion on the challenges Australia faces in implementing this technology is one of the best reads I've come across so far.

Noor cost $5.7 billion (AU) and apparently involved 9,000 people in the build. Kudos to all the people involved in convincing the UAE to undertake this project.

Hi All

I also came across this trial project for balancing the electricity grid via virtual power plants by Synergy in WA.

Hi Skye, this is the link we discussed on Day 1.

https://www.aer.gov.au/publications/reports/performance

It lists all the data for the regulated entities and their submissions for pricing, return on equity, etc, etc. It obviously also includes Jemena information.

Level 1

Does Jemena have data around usage and, if so, how is that currently used.

For example, there are gadgets and apps, and my retailer shows what appliances etc are using up power in my home.

Is this sort of data available to Jemena and how might it be useful to our question.

What other data does Jemena have access to, and use.

Thank you.

I am interested to hear what technologies, solutions, ideas etc are happening in other countries that could be relevant to this discussion.

What is the latest research saying about these elements.

What can be applied in Australia, Victoria, the Jemena catchment.

Thank you.

Hi everyone, Alec here, (little old guy that looks a lot like Santa), I'm still having difficulties trying to get my head around 'who's who at the zoo'. For example, I see what we are doing, (apart from being a good thing), as a project for the 'middle man', (Jemena), who ultimately answer to the 'owners' of the company, (Overseas consortium), & then sell their product on to the 'AGL's' of the world. With these three entities involved, how much is Jemena influenced by the powers they answer to & the people they sell to? Cheers

Level 2

Hey Alec, doubt we'd ever get an honest answer about this.
